Cyprus grants non-EU/EEA remote workers a one-year residence permit, renewable for a further two years, if they work via telecommunications technology for an employer or clients based abroad and can show stable net monthly income of at least EUR 3,500. The scheme is capped at 500 permits; after the cap was exhausted, the Migration Department reopened applications on 31 December 2025. Fees are EUR 70 for the permit plus EUR 70 for first-time registration in the Aliens' Registry, and applications are filed in Nicosia within three months of arrival.
