India Expands E-Visa Access With 11 New Entry Points

India has expanded the list of places where travellers holding an e-Visa can enter the country, adding 11 new entry points and bringing the total to 88. The additions include the airports at Bhopal and Tirupati, along with nine land ports.

The e-Visa is India's online visa system, which lets eligible foreign nationals apply digitally rather than through a consulate or embassy. Until now, e-Visa holders could only enter through a fixed set of approved airports and seaports. The latest update adds Bhopal and Tirupati to the list of authorised airports and, notably, opens up nine land ports for e-Visa entry.
